Your thoughts are your reality.
Yet, according to one study, over 90% of the news and messages we are being bombarded with every day is negative.
Is it any wonder we yearn for a vibrant, abundant life only to find our own worry, lack of confidence, and doubts sabotaging our path?
Is it any wonder that we struggle with depression, disconnection, aimlessness, and deficiency of passion and purpose?
Of course not!
A head full of negativity is going to affect your entire life. It is going to affect how you see yourself, how you show up, and where your life goes as a result. When you bring that negativity to others, they are just going to end up reflecting it back at you. Plus, you’re going to end up attracting the wrong people into your life.

Instead, flip it on it’s head. Shift your beliefs firmly into the positive and see how your life will follow.
They’re called affirmations, and I’m going to share with you some of my most powerful ones. Then I’ll show you how to use them to shift your beliefs and your life.

Just What are Affirmations?
Gail Bell writes:
"Affirmations are words or phrases which are said over and over to AFFIRM a single thought about yourself or other people."
Negative self-talk and negative outlook are created the exact same way. You repeated some negative thoughts in your mind over and over again until they became automatic.
But you can change them with the same process. You can CHOOSE your thoughts and outlook just by a little reprogramming. You can shift into the positive, focusing on who you want to be not who you think you were.
That's what affirmations are all about.

On to the good stuff! What are the 10 affirmations? I’ll tell you, starting with #10...
10. “I am powerful"
9. “I am beautiful"
8. “I am brave"
7. “(Money, love, good health, etc.) comes to me easily and effortlessly"
6. “I am a great and gracious receiver"
5. “I choose to give and receive love every day"
4. ”I welcome possibility and abundance into my life"
3. ”These doubts and negativity is their way, I choose my way"
2. “I am enough"

There you have it - all 10 affirmations...
But these are only a guide. What you really want to do is dig into what you really want in your life and develop your own!

Put Them to Work Shifting Your Beliefs

First of all, you have to really FEEL them in your heart and soul. It may be hard sometimes, but the more you do it, the easier it will become.
With that feeling, now’s the time to say the affirmation. Say it with confidence and determination.
Bonus points if you say them out loud!
That is truly powerful way to make the big shifts.
See yourself there. Imagine a situation where you are already being or doing what your desire. Imagine what you are doing and how you are reacting. Use all your senses and not just see it, but feel it, hear it… practically taste it.
As Gail says, "The more emotion you have the faster you will draw it to you."

You are rewiring your brain!
You are making new pathways that are positive instead of negative. These new pathways support your happiness and success instead of hinder it. They build and build over time, especially the more you use them in real world situations.
They are so important to creating a life of fulfillment and abundance, that I even created colorful, fun socks with some of my favorite affirmations right on them so whenever I look down at them I am reminded. They reinforce my affirmations every day I wear them.
So just keep at it.
The reason reminders like these socks are so powerful is that you need to do it OFTEN. The more often, the faster change comes.
Sometimes you’ll see a result come into your life right away, and sometimes it takes some time. It’s all about persistence and opening up to your affirmations.
You may even want to try another technique - turning the statements into questions. Instead of “I am powerful” you ask “How can I show up powerful?” You don’t answer it. You are letting the wheels turn as you go about your life, and you’ll find yourself discovering ways to show up powerful in your life.
Now ladies, once in a while won't work. This is the key. Remind yourself of them as often as possible and keep saying them.
Make them part of your morning routine! Say them while you are getting ready, in the shower, or even while brushing your teeth. Bundling up new habits with existing ones makes you far more successful in creating those new positive habits that will change your life.
Right now, pick one or try creating one of your own. Start right now - say your affirmation. Imagine it coming true, and really feel it as you say it.
